Meggen: Came to stay

On April 1, 2020, the time had come: in the midst of the shutdown, GLANDON Apartments, STARIMO 3000 and poli Immobilien were able to move into their new premises at Luzernerstrasse 8 in Meggen. «I was really looking forward to this moment. The property belongs to STARIMO 3000 and I was able to design everything according to our own needs with the support of Feng Shui consultant Erika Bösch», says Heidy Glanzmann, CEO of STARIMO 3000 AG. It was not the first move of the real estate company: 20 years ago, the focus was on working from Baden, then it went to Meggen – first to Schönblickstrasse, then to Huobmattstrasse and finally to Luzernerstrasse. Franz Glanzmann and the long-standing employees of poli Immobilien have also moved several times. They have already worked at various locations in Lucerne and Meggen. «But the time for moving is definitely over now, this is where we will stay», says Heidy Glanzmann. Thanks to the excellent construction and development team, she says, the premises have become functional, modern and stylish. The move also went smoothly – despite the difficult conditions during the Corona pandemic. «That's where I would like to say a big thank you to Beat Kurmann, who organized it all.»

Art at headquarters
Construction work on Luzernerstrasse 8 in Meggen began in the fall of 2019 and has proceeded mostly according to schedule. In addition to the STARIMO 3000 construction and development team, Lötscher Architektur GmbH in Meggen and Erika Bösch had contributed to the result. Anyone who enters the building is immediately struck by the carpet. The pattern consists of the GLANDON symbol and was designed and fabricated as a unique piece for the headquarters. Also prominently placed are a moss wall with integrated screen in the entrance area and the huge lettering #GLANDONLIFE – also made of moss – at the work corner of the sales team. Numerous works of art from the Glanzmann family's private collection and Lucerne's Galerie Harlekin are displayed on all three floors. «During corona-free periods, meetings are often held in our offices and we can open up access to art to a wide audience», explains Severin Glanzmann, CEO of GLANDON Apartments. Employees would have been able to choose the paintings near their workstations themselves, so there would be a wide variety of styles. From Martin Zemp to Timmermahn to Hans Erni, the works of art of numerous well-known painters and artists are represented at Luzernerstrasse 8 in Meggen. A mix that pleases – the gallery, the employees and the visitors.
