Additional Business Apartments in Oftringen

In the «Am Tych» property in Oftringen – a former factory building – GLANDON has rented a total of 15 apartments since April 2019. We now offer five more furnished apartments in the adjacent country house.
The country house «Am Tych» is more than 200 years old. It was built in 1800 by textile manufacturer and tannery owner Jakob Briner. Next to it he opened a factory, which today is considered the first industrial enterprise in the area. Textile companies from the Wiggertal valley – for example weaving mills, spinning mills and dye works – were known far beyond the borders of the country at that time. Unfortunately, for reasons of cost, almost all companies had to close their doors for good.

Full occupancy reached

After extensive renovation work, GLANDON has been renting out a total of 15 furnished apartments in the factory since April 2019. «The occupancy rate was improving from month to month and we reached full occupancy relatively soon», says Thomas Bollhalder, Operations Manager at GLANDON Apartments. This is one of the reasons why more furnished apartments will now be built in the adjacent country house. In addition, the demand for larger apartments can now also be met.

The following apartments are offered in the former country house of Jakob Briner – we call it «Am Tych Villa»:

  • 2.5-room apartment (90 square metres) for CHF 2250

  • 3.5-room apartment (96 square metres) for CHF 2200

  • 3.5-room apartment (106 square metres) for CHF 2450

  • 3.5-room apartment (109 square metres) for CHF 2550

  • 5.5-room apartment (176 square metres) for CHF 3850

As with all furnished apartments from GLANDON, service charges, WLAN and a biweekly cleaning service are included in the price.

«Mix and Match» in the furnishing

When you enter the «Am Tych Villa», you quickly realize that you are in a house with history. Many old elements like the parquet floor, the tiled stoves or the panelling in the living rooms have been left standing. «The interplay of listed buildings and new elements has been beautifully achieved and gives the apartments something special», says Bollhalder. This was also taken into account in the furnishings, «mix and match» was dominant. This trend is characterised by contrasts, styles from different eras are used and boldly combined. This creates something completely new – and in the case of «Am Tych Villa» something very coherent.
